9. The Netherlands – Tess – Stupid
Dutch singer Tess Gaerthe, who lives in Flanders, won the Dutch Junior Nationaal Songfestival with the maximum of the points. On 26th November she will perform her song Stupid at the international final. Tess Gaerthe was born in Amsterdam but has been living in Belgium since her mother started working there, three years ago. Earlier this month, Tess presented her single at the local book fair of her home town, Putte. The local paper shops see for the distribution of her single. Tess is 14 years old and has a twin brother, Joël. Her song is about love and has been produced by famous Dutch producer Tjeerd Oosterhuis.
10. Serbia & Montenegro – Filip Vucic – Ljubav pa fudbal
Ljubav pa fudbal, that's the message to be spread by Filip Vucic. The 10 year-old boy won the national final in his country and will always be remembered as Serbia & Montenegro's first ever Junior Eurovision Song Contest representative. Filip was born in Niksic in Montenegro. He likes singing, playing basketball and football. The latter even became the topic of his song for Hasselt! Filip attends music school and plays the piano. He has been singing in a choir since he was four years old. At the same time, Filip is a soloist at the cultural centre Akord in Niksic and also is one of the members of the children's dance ensemble Zahumlje.
