7. Russia – Vlad Krutskih – Дорога к солнцу
Russia is the first of two newcomers at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Not Channel One, but RTR Rossija applied for broadcasting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005. The Russian broadcaster internally selected Vladislav Krutskikh to perform the song Doroga k solntsu in Hasselt. Vladislav Krutskikh was born on 19th June, 1995, in Voronezh and started singing at the age of five. Today, he is studying stage singing at The Court�s Magicians variety-studio for children. In 2002, Vladislav was awarded the first prize at the Applause International Contest in Latvia. A year later, he became the Laureate of the Let Children Laugh International Children�s Art Festival in Moscow. In 2004 he received the Grand Prix at The Star International Children's Music Contest in Ukraine and in 2005 he was awarded two gold medals at the International Performing Arts Championship in Hollywood.
8. FYR Macedonia – Denis – Rodendenski baknez
Denis Dimovski will represent his country in the international final in Hasselt with his song Rodendenski baknez. Denis was born on 4th June, 1993, in Prilep. Denis has been involved with music for seven years and has taken part in numerous national and international children festivals. Last year, at the Slavic Bazaar festival in Belarus, Denis won the award for the best performance. At an international festival in Romania, he finished second. Denis plays the piano and adores Pavarotti and Tose Proeski, who represented his country at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004.
