The 1998 Eurovision winner, Dana International, revealed today her brand new outfit which she plans on wearing this Saturday during the Congratulations show in Copenhagen.
Dana International won the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest for Israel with the song Diva, which was chosen among the 14 songs to compete this Saturday in the Congratulations show in Copenhagen. Dana International will perform during the show- presenting one of the competing songs and singing the 1978 entry of Luxembourg, Parlez-vous français? (Originally sung by Baccara ).
Dana, who back in 1998 performed the reprise with Jean-Paul Gaultier's memorable feathers suit, is set to shock the viewers once again. Dana International will perform in Copenhagen with a new Gaultier's design named Spanish Bride, which is quite unconventional. 'Back in 1998 we wanted to win, so tried to be different but still not be outrageous' said Dana in a press conference in Tel-Aviv today. 'But, this time I don't really care being more provocative'. When asked wether she keeps in touch with Gali Atari, her fellow Israeli Eurovision winner which performs this Saturday Dana replied 'We are acquainted, not much more. We will probably meet in Copenhagen. I think I'll give her a good sway to make her change her outfit…'.
When asked about her feelings about Saturday's contest Dana replied that she is convinced ABBA's Waterloo will win, 'But I wouldn't mind being second to them. It will be a great honor to be a runner up to this legendary band', as she put it.
