Sakis Rouvas, who represented Greece at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest with Shake it, gets an active role in next year's Eurovision Song Contest. Host broadcaster ERT said that.
“What else could anyone need to participate, not as a contestant, but in a more active role? And for those who have not got the picture yet, we are referring to the famous Greek pop star Sakis Rouvas, who is most likely to be assigned a role in the 51st Eurovision Song Contest”, the Eurovision Song Contest website of the Greek broadcaster ERT says.
The popular singer, who had ranked third in Istanbul, met on Monday with the ERT's George Houliaras, to discuss the context of his participation in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest.
ERT does not confirm that Rouvas will actually host the contest, something inside sources claim to know. For example, the singer might as well play a leading role in the green room during the show, or he might feature in the post cards. At the end, the story doesn't put an end to the rumours regarding Rouvas' role, but one thing seems to be sure: he won't represent Greece in next year's Eurovision Song Contest.
