Xandee, who represented Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul, will most likely not participate in the Flemish national selection for 2006.

“It's not true that I have been contacted by VRT to participate in Eurosong 2006. I won't say that there is no chance that I will participate again, but I need a good song to start with”, she said to musicitems.be, referring to recent rumours in Flemish media.
New single
Xandee will be presenting her new single on 28th August, a pop/rock song with a new sound in comparison with her previous singles. At the end of the year Xandee will start touring with a live band. During her concerts she'll sing own songs as well as covers of artists such as Tina Turner and Anouk. Xandee's new album, produced together with Olivier Adams of Praga Khan, will be released in 2006.
Being tipped as a potential winner before by the fans and media, Xandee ended 22nd in the final of the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest with 1 Life. She got 1 point from Andorra and Cyprus, 5 from the Netherlands, being less generous towards its neighbour country then usual.
