Willeke Alberti, Sandra Reemer, Anneke Grönloh, Boney M, Johnny Logan, Baccara and many other artists will perform during the closing ceremonies of Amsterdam Pride on 7th August. Amsterdam Pride is reknown for its canal parade.

Despite ending up only 23rd at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest with Waar is de zon, Willeke Alberti is considered to be the 'queen' of the Dutch gay community. Therefore, she's a frequent performer at gay events in the Netherlands.

Sandra Reemer represented the Netherlands three times. In 1972 she and Andres ended 4th with Als het om de liefde gaat, in 1976 with The party is over (9th) and in 1979 under the name Xandra with Colorado (12th). Anneke Grönloh ended 12th for the Netherlands in 1964 with Jij bent mijn leven.

Johnny Logan, widely known as 'Mr. Eurovision', won the Eurovision Song Contest twice as singer (What's Another Year and Hold Me Now) and once as songwriter, of Linda Martin's Why me?.

The original group Baccara represented Luxembourg in 1978 with Parlez-vous français and, in another setting, sang in the Swedish national selection last year with Soy tu Venus.
