Belgium's representative at the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest Vanessa Chinitor has recorded a brand new album with songs in Dutch. The album entitled '13' is her first solo album since Like the wind, named after her Eurovision Song Contest entry, which was released in 1999.

'13' is an important number in Vanessa Chinitor's life and thus it became the title of her brand new album, which she presented to the press yesterday. On Radio 2, Vanessa looked back at Jerusalem 1999. “Representing Belgium six years ago was a very nice experience for me, I learned a lot at that time and it offered me a lot of television and radio appearances. Then suddenly it was a lot calmer but now I'm back!

The album includes six songs Vanessa Chinitor earlier released on single and seven other songs including two covers of Vanessa's idol Marva and a waltz medley (including a song by Conny Vandenbos, Netherlands 1965). The album also features the Dutch version of her Eurovision Song Contest entry for Jerusalem 1999, Hoog op de wind.

Vanessa Chinitor broke through after winning the Flemish Belgian national selections Eurosong 1999. Earlier this year she already confirmed her interest in another participation. “Without Eurosong there wouldn't have been a singing career. As soon as I feel that the time is right, I will take part in Eurosong again. Participating in the Eurovision Song Contest was an unforgettable experience after all.
