Miss Greece 2004, Maria Spiridaki, will be hosting the Greek Junior Eurovision Song Contest national final, to be held in September. The 20 year-old beauty recently represented Greece in Miss World.
Maria Spiridaki is excited about the whole idea of hosting the Greek Junior Eurovision Song Contest selections and is looking forward to this new opportunity in her young showbusiness career.
Miss Hellas 2004 claims to be a Eurovision Song Contest lover. “I always watched the show,” she says, “but became even more fanatical after 2001, when Antique reached the third place.” As for this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Maria Spiridaki is hoping that the show in Hasselt will be of equal glamour and dazzle as it was last year in Lillehammer, Norway.
Songs for the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest selections in Greece can be submitted until 22nd July. At last year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Greece finished 9th with the song O palios mou eaftos, performed by Secret Band.
