Twenty-three acts will take part in the Modovan semi-finals as Denis Latâşev decided to withdraw from the competition. He will not be replaced by any artist, so only eleven artists will compete in the first semi-final.

The last artist to decide on the song for the semi-finals was NiCo (Nicoleta Gavriliţă), a veteran of the Moldovan national selection and one of the participants in the second season of the Voice of Romania show. She will perform the song Freaky thong in the second semi-final.

As Denis Latâşev decided to withdraw, a total number of twenty-three artists will take part in the Moldovan semi-finals to be held on 12 March and 14 March.
