A new book about the history of Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest has been released: Micheal Kuyucu'dan Dünden bugüne Eurovision Tarihi. The book written by Michael Kuyucu reviews the Eurovision Song Contest, the Turkish entries and results at the contest since its first participation, 30 years ago in 1975, an gives a lot of information about the Turkish national selections.

The Eurovision Song Contest is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Also in Turkey the contest has played an important role. In the new book Micheal Kuyucu'dan Dünden bugüne Eurovision Tarihi you can read about the history of Turkish pop music in the Eurovision Song Contest.

The book contains stories about each of the songs Turkey has sent to the contest, from Seninle bir dakika in 1975 to Rimi rimi ley in 2005, detailed Eurovision Song Contest results, statistics and an analysis per country.

Furthermore it is offering more information on the Turkish national finals year by year, events, critics and comments. Michael Kuyucu also reveals his opinion about the Turkish songs that have been selected in a suspicious way.

Turkey celebrated its climax in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 when Sertab Erener won the contest with the song Everyway that I can. In 2004, Turkey organised the 49th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul.
