The first representative for the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Hasselt has been selected tonight. Malin won MGP jr. 2005, the Norwegian national final, with the song Sommer og skolefri.
In the first part of MGP jr. 2005, the ten Norwegian finalists performed their song. The televoting audience selected four songs to proceed to the 'super final' in which the young candidates performed their song for a second time. In a new televoting round, the Norwegians selected their representative for the 2005 Junior Eurovion Song Contest in Hasselt, Belgium.
The results of the MGP jr. 2005 super final:
1 – 43.201 votes | Malin – Sommer og skolefri
2 – 26.360 votes | New Justice – Skola e en slum
3 – 15.458 votes | Friends – Sammen
4 – 15.276 votes | 4 You – Dans, data & dumpe
Six juries decided the outcome of MGP jr. 2005. The audience at the Oslo Spektrum, the viewers in Nordnorge, Sørnorge, Vestnorge, Østlandet and Midtnorge.
Malin Reitan is nine years old and lives in Trondheim. Malin will be representing Norway at the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Hasselt (Belgium) on 26th November. Malin will be singing the song Sommer og skolefri which means Summer and school free.

During the MGP jr. 2005 interval act, this year's Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest representatives Wig Wam performed their hit song In my dreams. The Norwegian junior national final was hosted by Stian Barsnes Simonsen and Nadia Hasnaoui, who also hosted the 2004 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Lillehammer.
