Arabic music superstar Samira Saïd, who represented Morocco on the occasion of the country’s first and so far only participation in the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1980 in The Hague, is about to make her comeback under the spotlights with some exciting projects.

The Moroccan diva, who recently took part as a jury member in a new TV talent show named Voice of Life on Egyptian channel Al Hayat, has launched a revamped version of her website and revealed that she is currently recording new songs in Lebanon to release a brand new album at the beginning of summer 2013.

This album would be the first in more than four years for Samira who had not accustomed her fans for such a long time in between two albums. Samira Saïd is indeed one of the biggest Arabic superstars today with a repertoire that exceeds 50 super-selling albums and many massive hits and successful music videos.

The new album will most probably surprise and please fans as Samira Saïd will once more explore new sounds. Some of the songs that are already finished are said to be based on smooth jazz sonorities, a very unusual sound for Arabic artists, while others have been penned together with some renowned pop, rap and Indian music artists.

In the meanwhile, here is one of her latest performances on Egytian TV and a reminder of her Eurovision participation.
