Svante Stockselius, one of the important people behind Tallinn 2002 and EBU reference group member, decided to quit his job at SVT. Newspaper Expressen wrote that today.

Stockselius got a new job at the Swedish commercial channel P4. In the past year, Stockselius was the producer for several Melodifestival editions and the Eurovision Song Contest 2000.

Expressen also wrote that SVT planned a huge Song Contest Party in a park in Stockholm. The idea was to place a big stage and a television screen where 50.000 fans were able to watch the Eurovision Song Contest live from Tallinn, but also several performances of other artists and a live interview with Afro-dite in Tallinn, right before the contest. Sweden would even give its points from there. But all of a sudden, the whole organisation has been cancelled.

According to Expressen, the cancelled Eurovision party and the departure of Stockselius are connected with eachother, although SVT denies that.

It is not known yet if this will have concequences for this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
