Several countries consider the Eurovision Song Contest as a complete entertainment night, complete with an eloquent and cynical commentator. Roman Swiss broadcaster TSR has jumped on the concept and introduces Marie-Thérèse Porchet as co-commentator on the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest broadcasts.
Marie-Thérèse Porchet is the female alter ego of comedy actor Joseph Gorgoni. Beside Switzerland, Marie-Thérèse has gained some popularity in France where she has given several shows. Last year she attended the France 3 program in which the French Eurovision Song Contest entry A chaque pas was presented.
Marie-Thérèse Porchet will join Jean-Marc Richard in the Swiss commentary box at the Palats Sportu in Kyiv. Jean-Marc Richard is an experienced TSR host and has been commentating on the Eurovision Song Contest for several years.
Roman Swiss broadcaster TSR also announced that the preview videos of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest will not be aired this year.
