While the representatives for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest are preparing their shows, Latvian broadcaster LTV has set the dates for its Junior Eurovision Song Contest selections. The deadline for submitting songs is 23rd May. The Latvian representative for Hasselt will be selected at latest on 17th September.
The new Latvian musicians aged 8 – 15 are invited to send in their songs which may not exceed 2 minutes 45 seconds in length. Only the Latvian language is allowed. The deadline for submitting songs is 23rd May 2005.
The finalists, to be determined by the experts of LTV, will be announced in the children's morning show Surpu Turpu on 28th May. The Latvian representative for the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be selected at latest on 17th September.
It is the third time Latvia will be represented at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is taking place on 26th November in Hasselt, Belgium, this year.
