ITV News channel show Live with Angela Rippon plays host to three of this year's Eurovision Song Contest hopefuls tomorrow. Constantinos Christoforou of Cyprus, Laura and the Lovers of Lithuania and Chiara of Malta will appear on the show, to be broadcast from 8 – 11 am on Sunday May 1st.
Billy Butt, writer of Laura and the Lovers entry Little by little told esctoday.com that “Laura will appear on the morning show. Her new video will be screened during that show. Laura has been invited to discuss the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. When we sent the video to London they replied and asked Laura to appear on their show.”
Laura will be joined by Chiara with her song Angel and Constantinos with his song Ela ela. Constantinos will be moving on after the show to make appearances on London Greek Radio (103.3FM and internet broadast) and London Hellenic TV as he continues his strong promotional tour of Europe.
Angela Rippon herself is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest. She hosted the 1977 event held at the Wembley Conference Centre, London. The event marked the last time the contest was won by France, with Marie Myriam's L'oiseau et l'enfant.
Esctoday.com would also like to remind our readers about the Euromania event to be held on Monday 2nd May at Eros nightclub in Enfield, North London. Constantinos will be performing live alongside the United Kingdom entrant for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, Javine, and last year's Cypriot entrant, Lisa Andreas. Event organisers recommend early arrival to avoid disappointment. Entry is free, doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm.
