Tonight, Wednesday 23 January, we will get another sample of what Norway has to offer for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. The songs taking part in each of the three heats will be presented in a special show from the host city on each Wednesday.
NRK, the Norwegian national broadcaster, posted the above picture on their official MGP Facebook page yesterday. The cardboard cutout of previous Norwegian winner Alexander Rybak is fuelling further the rumours of his participation in this year’s Melodi Grand Prix.
The programme
MGP Direkte is the name of the show, coming from Florø this week, and it will present the seven songs from the second heat of Melodi Grand Prix (MGP) for the first time.
How to watch
Live on NRK1 at 20.15 CET. (Repeat 02.40 and 08.10 Saturday.)
Participants
will be revealed during this programme
Three songs will qualify for the Norwegian final from each heat, and one wildcard will still make it from those that did not make it from the heats, making the total number of songs in the Oslo final to ten.
The songs will eventually also be made available on the NRK.no/mgp website
