Is everyone on schedule? Will they make it? Everyone managed to get a ticket? Has everyone been accomodated? Within four weeks, we will know the answers to these questions. With less than a month to go before the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest semifinal goes on-air, it's time for the final countdown!

The semifinal of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest is only 29 days away, the final 31. In three weeks, the first delegations and journalists will arrive in Kyiv, where the 50th contest takes place.

Last minute?
For those planning a last minute trip to Kyiv, we wrote a shortlist of important issues.

  • Accomodation: availability of hotel rooms and appartments drops, while the prices are going up. Nevertheless we advice you to contact BYTSKO, the official tour operator of this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Check out their website here.
  • Travel & visa: Contact your local travel company to help you search for the cheapest flight. Keep in mind that non-EU residents need visa to enter Ukraine; it might take some time for the Ukrainian embassy in your country to process your request. We recommend you to contact them right away! It might be unneccesary, but keep in mind your passport has to be valid for at least three months after departure from Ukraine.
  • Tickets: Tickets for the semifinal and the final are completely sold out. However, there are still tickets for the dress rehearsals. The official ticket merchant is Olvia, which you can find here
