For the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, esctoday.com plans a detailed coverage of the rehearsals, live shows, press conferences, parties and other events related to the contest. Between 9th and 22nd May, a team of six full time editors, two part time editors and an external photography team will provide an almost around-the-clock coverage.

A growing team
The first team of three editors will be going to Kyiv on Monday, 9th May. Meanwhile, a photographer along with his assistant joins us. Photos will be delivered to esctoday.com by Interlize.NET*. On Tuesday, one more editor joins the team to prepare for our extensive coverage of the so-called Eurovision weeks. Two more full time editors join on 14th and 15 May. Arrival dates of our part time editors are currently unknown.

To keep everyone alert, not everyone will be working all the time and at the same time, but in shifts. And to give you an idea about what's going on inside the team, we will soon start with our KyivLog, a weblog about our preparations.

Rehearsals and press conferences
Rehearsals of the participating countries start Thursday, 12th May. Esctoday.com will cover at least one of the two rehearsals scheduled for every country. For those who do not have the chance to visit Kyiv, we will bring you as close to this year's contest by publishing loads of photos*.

Our editors will have interviews with participants, people involved with the organisation of this year's contest, fans and delegates. We will do our very best to cover an equal amount of events for every participating country, but news comes as it comes; a bit more about one, a bit less about another.

Party time!
With 39 participating countries, it's party time every night in Kyiv! We aim to visit as much as parties as possible to provide you with party pics and stories the next morning. We will definitely cover the official welcome reception, which takes place Monday 16th May in Mariinsky Palace.

Surprises
For the two weeks prior to the Eurovision Song Contest, esctoday.com has planned several editorial surprises. We will also give away some exclusive collectors items to members of esctoday.com.
