With a thousand voters, our BigPoll 2005 predicts Iceland to lead the semifinal of this year's Eurovision Song Contest, closely followed by The Netherlands and Switzerland. At the bottom of the list we can find Bulgaria, Belgium and Ireland.
Last year, esctoday.com members predicted eight of the ten qualified countries correctly. The final winner was also predicted correctly, while the runner-up was awefully wrong; Belgium ended up at the 22nd place, instead of a predicted second place.
Semfinal participants Iceland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Israel, Slovenia, Norway, Lithuania and Austria are predicted to qualify for the final.
The BigPoll opened on Tuesday, 22 March, at 15:00 CET right after the draw for the running order and is the largest Eurovision Song Contest prediction poll on the internet. Subscribed members can still vote until 19th May. Not yet a member? You can subscribe here!
