Javine, the United Kingdom entrant at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, has been signed by global record company Universal Records . Her first release on the new label will be the song she hopes will capture the United Kingdom's sixth Eurovision crown in Kiev, Touch my fire . The song will be release on May 16th.
Touch My Fire will be released on Island Records , a division of Universal. The stable is home to artists such as Bon Jovi, Christina Milian and Slayer. The song will be released May 16, just five days before she takes to the stage in Kiev. It is hoped that the song will receive strong airplay figures and score a high position on the UK charts the day after the competition.
Javine was previously with EMI on the Innocent and had two Top 20 singles after narrowly missing out on a place in the Girls Aloud line up through the talent show Pop Stars – The rivals .
