On 25th February Natalia Podolskaya won the Russian national final with the song Nobody hurt no one. Esctoday.com had an exclusive interview with the Russian representative for Kiev, in which she revealed her feelings about corruption in the Belarusian and Russian Eurovision Song Contest selections. But above all, Natalia talks about her Eurovision entry Nobody hurt no one and her plans for Kiev.
Can you shortly tell the esctoday.com visitors who Natalia Podolskaya is?
Natalia Podolskaya is a girl that knew from her childhood what she would be: a singer.
Last year you finished third in the Belarusian national final. How do you look back on it?
Last year, I finished first in the telephone voting of the Belarusian final, not third. It is legally proven by the decision of the court situated in Lenin Region, Mogilev, Belarus. I can send you the documents. That time the Belteleradio authorities made up their minds to send another group.
Of course I was very much upset last year. But now I realise that last year Belarus took part in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time and Belteleradio was not prepared for it.
