The list of the 11 hopefuls vying to become the German entry for Malmö 2013 have been revealed, one more name will be added to the list before Christmas.

Amongst the list of names we find one of the biggest German musical exports of the past few years, Cascada.

The songs taking part in the German national final Unser song für Malmö in Hannover on Thursday 14 February include:

  • Ben Ivory – The righteous ones
  • Betty Dittrich – Lalala
  • Blitzkids mvt. – Heart on the line
  • Cascada – Glorious
  • Finn Martin – Change
  • LaBrassBanda – Nackert
  • Mobilée – Little sister
  • Nica & Joe – Elevated
  • Die Priester feat. Mojca Erdmann – Ave Maris Stella
  • Saint Lu – Craving
  • Söhne Mannheims – One love
Presentations of the artists (in German) on eurovision.de. There is a wide mix ranging from dance pop via soul to Bavarian brass funk, added with mainstream pop and catholic church chant.
The German entry for Malmö will be voted for by listeners of the German national broadcaster’s youth radio channels, a professional jury and the TV public.
The 2012 winner Loreen from Sweden will be in Hannover for the German final, joined by the German 2010 winner Lena as special guests.
