Dutch broadcaster AVRO is looking for songs to participate in the Dutch selections for the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In September 10 songs will be in the running for representing the Netherlands at the third edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Hasselt.
Songs for the Dutch Junior Nationaal Songfestival 2005 can be submitted until 8th April. 50 songs will be selected to participate in auditions to be held In May. A professional jury will then decide which 10 songs will proceed to the finals of Junior Nationaal Songfestival 2005. Those will consist of two semifinals and a final on Saturday 24th September.
The winner of Junior Nationaal Songfestival 2005 succeeds Klaartje & Nicky, who finished 11th with the song Hij is een kei at last year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Lillehammer. The 2005 Dutch junior representative can prepare for a trip to Hasselt, just over the border with Belgium, where the third edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held.
