The single of Wig Wam's winning Melodi Grand Prix entry In my dreams has been sold out in less than two days after its release. The TV ratings for Melodi Grand Prix 2005 show that 1,3 million people watched the show in Norway last Saturday.

A Melodi Grand Prix winning song selling out is a rarity Norway. The huge demand for Wig Wam's Eurovision entry In my dreams looks promising for a very high debut in the official singles charts next week. Wig Wam's record company has promised that a new load of singles will be arriving at the record stores across Norway by Thursday. Last year's Melodi Grand Prix winner Knut Anders Sørum only managed to occupy a place in the Norwegian Top 20 for one week.

The increasing interest for Melodi Grand Prix also reflected itself in the ratings for this year's show. 1.352.000 viewers, or 80% of those television viewers, watched Melodi Grand Prix 2005 last Saturday. NRK's new Melodi Grand Prix with participating songs and performers on invitation undoubtedly beared fruit.

Due to Norway's bad result at last year's Eurovision Song Contest, Wig Wam will appear in the semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest on 19th May in Kiev.
