According to British broadcaster BBC there was a secret ESC club in Estonia during the Soviet occupation

The leader of it was Karl Pihelgas, 71. It was important for him to feel himself as a part of Europe during the Soviet occupation.

The club started to watch the ESC in 1966. They recorded the shows and showed them to their friends. One of their favorites was Cliff Richard.
