In March, the French broadcaster France3 will air two programmes concerning the French national selections; an introductory documentary and a live final, in which the five participants will present their song live and sing duets with famous artists.
France3 will broadcast two programmes regarding their national selections for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. A first programme will be a documentary showing the selection of the candidates and ending with a presentation of the five finalists who are as follows:
1. Ortal
2. Lionel Tim
3. Marjorie Galluccio
4. Karine Trecy
5. Christophe Héraut
Karine Trecy participated in the French national selections in 1999. Since then she has mainly been a backing vocalist in studio, as well as on concerts. Lionel Tim was one of the members of the trio Link Up, that won the third edition of Popstars on French broadcaster M6. At the end of 2003 they topped the French sales list with their first single.
In a second show to be broadcast, the five finalists will sing their song for Kiev live. The viewers of France3 will be able to televote for their favourite, and are going to decide together, with a professional jury, who will represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest this year. Besides singing their own song, the finalists will sing duets with other famous artists.
France3 is still keeping the dates of the two shows as a secret, in order not to alert other channels, in a competition for viewing figures. Nevertheless, they informed us that the broadcast is scheduled for March.
