Last Saturday, the Olsen Brothers finished second in the Danish national final Melodi Grand Prix 2005. For their song Little yellow radio they received six points less than winner Jakob Sveistrup. The Olsen Brothers will however return on stage very soon. Next Saturday, they will try to win the hearts of the Swedish television viewers as guest singers in the second heat of Melodifestivalen 2005.
As esctoday.com earlier reported, Swedish broadcaster SVT had experienced difficulties this year when organising the interval acts for Melodifestivalen. Many well-known Swedish artists had chosen to reject the offers given by SVT.
SVT thus started looking for international singers willing to perform in Melodifestivalen. Last week Ruslana helped SVT out. This week the Danish Olsen Brothers will be the international guests. Who'll make an appearance in the upcoming semifinals of Melodifestivalen hasn’t been made public yet.
The Olsen Brothers won the Eurovision Song Contest for Denmark in 2000 with the song Fly on the wings of love. The second semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2005 will be held this Saturday, 19th February.
