Trinity, the girl group selected for the Dutch final, has to change its name. A dance group from the Dutch city Eindhoven with the name Trinity demanded that the semifinal winners do not use 'their' name anymore. Trinity becomes… Trinity United!
Trinity, now Trinity United, won the first semifinal of the Nationaal Songfestival 2005 with Go, and returns in the final, which takes place this Sunday, 13th February.
Last month, No Angels changed its name into We're No Angels, after several people noticed that No Angels is the name of a German group. We're No Angels performes Dressed to kill in the upcoming semifinal.
Earlier this week it appeared that the song writer of Tranen in de stilte had to change parts of their lyrics because of similarities with a song written some years ago by the same writer. “The changes are small and the song's message has not been changed”.
