PBS, the Maltese national broadcaster has informed and confirmed to Esctoday.com that Malta will participate at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 in Malmö.

The rules and regulations for the 2013 Maltese Song Festival have been published.  Malta debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1971 and its best placing has been a 2nd placing in 2003 with Ira Losco and in 2005 with Chiara. The Mediterrenean island is yet to win the contest.
