The BBC Radio 1 has confirmed that Gina G will battle it out against Jordan (Katie Price) and four other contestants in the UK selections Making your mind up. Gina G represented the United Kingdom in 1996 with Ooh aah…just a little bit and finished 8th.
Gina G sprang to international fame in 1996 with her UK entry at the Eurovision song contest with the dance song Ooh aah…just a little bit. Although the song only finished in 8th place at the contest, it stormed to number one in charts across Europe, hit number 12 in the USA chart, the highest position of any British eurovision entries. The song has become one of the biggest party anthems of the 1990s.
Gina G will be trying it once again in Making your mind up 2005, which will be hosted by Terry Wogan and Natasha Kaplinsky. The other finalists will be revealed on BBC1 tonight, during Top of the pops.
