In the third semifinal of the Dutch Nationaal Songfestival 2005, Johnny Rosenberg with When forever ends, Femme Vocale with Stay and Barbara Lok with Tranen in stilte got selected for the final, which takes place on 13th February.
In a difficult semifinal with critical comments of the jury, former Eurovision Song Contest participant Justine Pelmelay couldn't convince the jury and the televoters with What you see is what you get. Unfortunately for Justine, she gets nothing.
The jury was particularly enthusiastic about Barbara Lok, saying that “it would be nice to have at least a Dutch song in the final”. Until now, Tranen in stilte (Tears in silence) is the only Dutch song in the final of the Nationaal Songfestival 2005.
Trinity, Renee & Dennis and Yvette de Bie received their final tickets in the first semifinal, Meander, Tiffany and Chastity survived the second edition. Together with Johnny Rosenberg, Femme Vocale and Barbara Lok they will appear in the final. Next week, the last three candidates will be selected in the fourth semifinal. According to many, the fourth semifinal is the strongest one.
After the final, it will become public who have been selected by the televoters and who by the jury.
