Jacob Sisters want to start for Germany

As German tabloid Bild writes today, the three blonde schlager-trash ladies known as the Jacob Sisters want to represent Germany at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev with a song written in memory of the recently murdered couturier Rudolph Moshammer. It's highly unlikely that they will make it into the German final, though.

The Jacob Sisters, who – just like Rudolph Moshammer, who was recently strangled to death by a rent boy – never appear in public without their little dogs, wrote a song named Moshammer lebt (Moshammer lives), described as a “stomping party song” by tabloid Bild. A voice sample of the deceased is used in the song, the Sisters plan to use a life-size doll of the famous tailor and his dog Daisy as part of their show. Moshammer himself participated in the German national final in 2001 with his song Teilt Freud und Leid.

“With the song, we want to set a memorial to Mosi and represent Germany at the Grand Prix d'Eurovision in May”, the three sisters told Bild. Their producer Marco Delgado is optimistic to get one of the wildcards for the German final: “I am sure ARD won't miss on such a spectacular show”. NDR recently stated that the wildcards are reserved for chart acts with a top 40 hit. If the Jacob Sisters will be able to reach such a high chart position in time is to be doubted, as they aren't exactly known as a top selling act so far.
