Yesterday, German broadcaster NDR said to officially announce the finalists for Germany 12 Points this friday. Today, newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt published a list with the nine participants of the German national final, to be held on 12th March in Berlin.

The – not yet official – list reads as follows:

 Mia Aegerter: Alive
Allee der Kosmonauten: Dein Lied (Your Song)
 Ellen ten Damme: Plattgeliebt (Flat-loved)
Stefan Gwildis: Wunderschönes Grau (Beautiful Gray)
 Königwerq: Unschlagbar (Unbeatable)
Murphy Brothers: Pickin' up the pieces
 Orange Blue: A million Teardrops
 Villaine: Adrenalin (Adrenaline)
Wunder: Was hält uns wach? (What keeps us awake?)

Swiss-born actress and songwriter Mia Aegerter and Hamburg-based pop duo Orange Blue, who had a major hit with You got that Light a few years ago are probably the most prominent names in this line-up. Fieve-piece band Königwerq are well-known in the southwest part of Germany, where they recieve a lot of radio airplay. The other participants, including Dutch singer Ellen ten Damme, are more or less unknown to a broader public yet. Four of the nine artists have a connection to Hamburg, where TV station NDR is based.

NDR earlier announced to give away a few wildcards to artists who can score a hit in the German single charts. Those addional participants will be selected in early February, before the final of Stefan Raab's Bundesvision Song Contest, so the winner of this TV show will not be added to the current list.

The national preselection Germany 12 Points takes place March 12 in the Treptow Arena in Berlin and will be aired from 20:15 CET. Tickets for the final are currently on sale. Germany is directly qualified for the final in Kiev.
