Estonian Nature Foundation and Estonian Ornitology Society are organizing a birdsong Eurovision in the Internet. Each country of Europe will be represented by one of the pre-recorded birdong. Estonian newspaper Eesti Ekspress wrote that.

“All the songs will be uploaded to internet, where the people can vote within one month for the song one likes the most,” said the project manager Urmo Lehtveer.

“As ETV didn't agree to organize a green-Eurovision, we had to think out something else,” he added.

Information about the birdsong Eurovision will be spread through the European environment organizations. The local society of ornitology will choose it's representative to the contest.

Birdsong-Eurovision will end in May, at the same time of the ESC 2002 final concert in Tallinn.
