In a ski accident in Austria, Dutch jury member Paul de Leeuw fractured his arm, which also moved from its socket. Doctors put his arm back in place and De Leeuw is back in The Netherlands again, but he won't be present at the Pepsi Stage this Thursday, when the first semifinal of the Nationaal Songfestival 2005 takes place.
The Dutch broadcaster TROS, responsible for the semifinals of the Nationaal Songfestival 2005, is currently searching for a solution. It's unknown yet how this situation will be solved.
Paul de Leeuw, who hosted the Nationaal Songfestival several times in the past 15 years, forms the Dutch jury this year together with Cornald Maas (jury head) and Esther Hart, who represented the Netherlands in 2003 with One more night. Esther is currently pregnant and the birth of her child is expected to take place in March.
Esctoday.com wishes Paul de Leeuw a quick recovery! Meanwhile, esctoday.com will cover the semifinals of the Nationaal Songfestival right from the spot! Stay tuned this Thursday!
