NRK has announced the second of eight finalists for Melodi Grand Prix 2005, Blissed. The Norwegian broadcaster created the group, composed of four experienced performers, especially for the Norwegian national final.
Blissed consists of Marit Strømøy, Marianne Solberg Follestad, Anthony Robinison and Kristian Hajdu. All of them are experienced performers. The most remarkable of them is Marit Strømøy, who has a background in the girl group Charmed, which represented Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 with My heart goes boom. Strømøy however wasn't part of Charmed when they performed in Stockholm, but joined the group the year after in 2001. Besides she has also been a boat racer and managed to win three European titles in Formula 2000.
Blissed announced to be happy to be selected for the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix 2005 and see their participation as a possibility to break through. The four members do not exclude that the cooperation will last longer than just for the Norwegian national final and would like to record an album and start touring after the final.
