Last year's Eurovision Song Contest winner Ruslana and Evridiki, who represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1992 and 1994, will be performing as guest singers in the Cypriot national final to be held on 1st February. That night, Cyprus will select one of the four songs to be performed by Constantinos Christoforou to represent Cypus at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest.
Cypriot broadcaster CyBC has invited Ruslana and Evridiki to perform during the Cypriot national final. Evridiki represented Cyrpus in 1992 with the song Teriazoume and sang Ime anthropos ke ego in 1994. She twice finished 11th. Besides her guest performance, Evridiki will as well be part of the jury to select one of the four songs to be performed by Constantinos Christoforou. The titles of these songs will not be revealed before next week.
Two of these songs have been written by Mike Connaris, composer of last year's Cypriot entry Stronger every minute. Constantinos himself wrote the two other songs. A combination of a jury and televoting will select the Cypriot entry for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Tasos Trifonos and Eleni Manousaki, both radio producers, will make their first television appearance as hosts of the Cypriot national final.
