Turkish broadcaster TRT and the composers and arrangers of the 7 songs, selected for the Turkish national finals, had a meeting yesterday. Ümran Sönmezer, Director of Polyphonic Music Department, informed us that several composers have announced that they will be changing the performer of their song. Therefore TRT has postponed the announcement of the finalists, which was initially scheduled for today.
The following 7 songs had earlier been selected for the Turkish national selections for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest:

The names of the performers of the songs remain unannounced since several composers will let their song be performed by another singer than initially planned. The 7 songs will be performed in a first show to be held on 12th February. 5 of them will proceed to the second show on 13th February in which 2 songs will be voted off again. The 3 remaining songs will compete to represent Turkey at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest during a final to be held on 14th February 2005.
