The announcement of the 50 songs proceding to the second round of the selections for the Malta Song for Europe Festival 2005 has been postponed with one week.
The judging process of the 186 submitted songs took longer than expected. Therefore the Maltasong Board was not able to announce the 50 songs surviving the first round of the selections yesterday, as it was scheduled. The announcement has been postponed with one week. The Maltasong Board will announce the 50 songs next Sunday, 12th December.
The performers of those 50 songs will have to sing their song live in front of a jury behind closed doors. The jury will then select the 22 songs for Malta Song for Europe 2005. Furthermore UKAM, the organization of Maltese composers, authors and singers is calling on its members for another meeting on Thursday 9th December.
