Flemish broadcaster VRT and RTBF, broadcaster of the French community in Belgium, have held a press conference this morning regarding next year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest and its national selections in Belgium.
VRT and RTBF confirmed this morning what we already wrote yesterday. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on 26th November 2005 in the Ethias Arena of Hasselt. The national selections will take place in September 2005, with 6 Flemish and 6 French speaking kids.
VRT and RTBF refered to the Miss Belgium election, a cooperation between Flemish and Walloon commercial broadcasters, and are currently working on creating a fair voting system.
However it is a joint organization, VRT and RTBF have divided the tasks. Flemish broadcaster VRT is host broadcaster for the international Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005. RTBF is mainly responsible for the national selections Eurokids 2005. Nevertheless important decisions will be made in dialogue.
