Six months after representing Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song Can't wait until tonight, Max Mutzke comes up with a new single, Schwarz auf weiß (In cold print). The single will be released in Germany on 29th November. An album will follow in January.

Max' Eurovision entry Can't wait until tonight, written by Stefan Raab, was a huge hit and one of the best selling singles of 2004 in Germany. After Istanbul, where he came eight, Max took a break to finish his A-levels and to work on his album.

In an interview with German news agency ddp, Max revealed that the album will contain 13 songs, some of them in German: “Nothing overproduced, partly songs where the only instrument is an acoustic guitar.” Although the album is produced and partly written by his mentor Stefan Raab, Max wrote some of the songs himself, including the new single Schwarz auf weiß. He describes it as “very honest music”.

Max is going to promote his new single in a couple of TV shows withhin the next weeks, including Sarah Kuttner – Die Show (Viva, 25.11., 21:15 CET), TV Total (ProSieben, 29.11., 22:15 CET) and Menschen 2004 (ZDF, 5.12. 21:45 CET). A videoclip is already in rotation on German music channel Viva.

In the interview, Max again explained why he kept his eyes closed almost all the time during his performance: “When I close my eyes, I live in the song. It helps me to transport the vibe of the music.”
