“I don't think we will win in Lillehammer, but I do hope”, Nicky said today in Het Jeugdjournaal, a Dutch news programme for kids.
Klaartje & Nikcy represent the Netherlands at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place Saturday in Lillehammer, Norway. Their song Hij is een kei can be found in the lower parts of the polls and bookmaker bets and the girls, who are younger than most of the other participants, seem to realise that their chances to win are not very high.
Nevertheless, Nicky hopes for a surprise victory, just like during the Dutch national final. In their own country, the girls are popular among kids. Since their victory they can be found in the Fox Kids Top 20, in which they dropped from the 2nd to the 12th spot.
Just like most other delegations, the Dutch junior delegation travelled to Lillehammer today. The first rehearsals take place tomorrow.
