Before their departure to Lillehammer yesterday, Free Spirits handed over a gold record to last year's Belgian representatives X!nk. Their debut album, entitled X!nk, has gone gold.
The four X!nk guys have been enjoying enormous success since their participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest last year. Several hit singles and sold out concerts followed and now their debut album X!nk can be found in the top 20 of the Flemish album charts for already 7 weeks.
Yesterday the boys from Free Spirits, who'll represent Belgium with the song Accroche-toi next Saturday, surprised X!nk with a gold record before their departure to Norway. Free Spirits and X!nk have been compared a lot by the Belgian media. Both above and under the language border, the Belgian kids have been voting a rock band to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
