50 Melodifestivalen songs started the run for the title of Best ever Melodifestivalen song. Narrowed down to 15, and finally to 10, Sweden tonight selected the one and only winner.

As expected, Abba's Waterloo was pronounced Best ever Melodifestivalen song at the end of the charity show Världens Barn, held tonight in Sweden. Främling (Carola Häggkvist – 1983) and Diggi-loo diggi-ley (Herreys – 1984) completed the top 3.

Abba won Melodifestivalen with Waterloo in 1974 and later on conquered the whole world after winning the Eurovision Song Contest. Abba certainly wasn't the only winner tonight. More than 7 million Euro was raised for the charity project Världens Barn
