In complete silence Andorran broadcaster RTVA has started its search for a Eurovision Song Contest representative last Tuesday. On working days untill 23rd November, 32 singers will be presented several times a day. The one who collects most SMS votes by the end of the day qualifies for the second round.
On Wednesday 24th November, the 16 singers who proceed to the second round of Eurocàsting will be announced during the program Diagonal (broadcast at 14:15 CET and repeated at 22:30 CET). As from Monday 29th November until Wednesday 8th December, these 16 finalists will again be evaluated by the audience. On Friday 10th December, the 3 finalists will be announced during the program Diagonal.
The 3 finalists go into action again on 18th December when RTVA broadcasts a special program in which the Andorran representative for the Eurovision Song Contest will be chosen. More than one month later, on 22nd January 2005, he/she will sing 3 songs in Catalan. A professional jury and SMS voting will then decide which song will be sent to the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev.
Andorra will take part in the qualifier round on 19th May in Kiev.
