Italy will not participate in Kiev 2005

At the same time the Italian broadcaster RAI has refused to participate due to the high costs of organizing the Eurovision Song Contest in case of a victory. In the e-mail sent to the president of OGAE, the Italy Sanremo Committee declared that, as they are interested in organizing the event in case Italy would win the contest, they will continue negotiating with RAI.
