The EBU plans to release an official book about the history of the Eurovision Song Contest, as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations. In may 2005, the 50th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Kiev, Ukraine
Carlton Books will be the publisher of the book, written by John Kennedy O'Connor. In a reaction to our colleagues from doteurovision, Kennedy O'Connor says: “The book will be available across the continent and Australia in multiple language versions. It's a lavishly illustrated, full colour book with some exceptionally rare photographs and artwork. It's already listed for pre-order on Amazon.co.uk, although the cover displayed there is only a prototype.”.
The release date of the book (192 pages) is set for 1 March, 2005. Svante Stockselius, Executive Supervisor of the contest at the EBU, confirmed to esctoday.com that the EBU selected Carlton Books as partner to release the official book.
