The Belarus broadcaster BTC has announced the details for the selection of their song for next years Eurovision Song Contest. The system seems unnecessary complicated. On the 1st of February we will know who will represent Belarus in Kiev.

The deadline for submitting songs to the BTC is set on the 1st of October. In October, a show with an unknown number of songs will be pre-recorded. This show will be broadcast around 1st of December. TV viewers in Belarus will select 3 songs by televoting and internet voting.

A jury, composed by BTC itself, will select a winner out of these 3 songs. This winner will be announced on 1st of February.

Through the grapevine, the first names of potential contestants can already be heard. Aleksandr Soloduha, Alexei Khlestov and Irina Dorofeeva are said to be candidates for the Byelorussian national final.
