This weekend Belgium and the Netherlands hold the first of two semifinals in their search for a song for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In Belgium the Walloons start their search tonight, the Dutch start tomorrow night.

Belgium

This year it's up to the French speaking Belgians to select the Belgian song for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Walloon broadcaster RTBF holds the first of two Eurokids 2004 semifinals tonight. These are the five semifinalists:

� B-Cocktail – L'âge d'aimer (The age of loving)
� Kevin – J'ai envie (I feel like…)
� Hotvibes – Ma vraie identité (My real identity)
� Bess – Laissez-les vivre (Let them live)
� Free Spirits – Accroche-toi (Hold on)

The first semifinal will be broadcast on La Une and by satellite over the whole of Europe via RTBF Sat at 20.10 CET tonight. Only the winner of tonights semifinal is sure of proceding to the final of Eurokids 2004 for which only the two semifinal winners and the three other best scoring songs will be selected.

The Netherlands

On Saturday night it's the Netherlands' turn. These are their first five semifinalists:

� Four Stars (Tessa, Lisa, Lisa & Jule) – Hoi (Hi)
� Marnix – Het aller, aller, aller grootste hart (The biggest heart of all)
� Klaartje & Nicky – Hij is een kei (He's great)
� Shakira – Dansen in Afrika (Dancing in Africa)
� Lorrèn – Alles wat je kan (Everything you can)
